CHIP AND STAMPED METAL PROCESSING AND RECYCLE TAKES ON GROWING IMPORTANCE IN MANUFACTURING IN 2013

Kalamazoo, Mich. – PRAB, Inc., a global leader in the design and manufacturer of material handling and processing equipment for metal machining, stamping, and die cast scrap, announced its 2013 fiscal closing as a ground breaking year for engineered material handling and fluid filtration systems. Growth in the automotive and aerospace sectors has driven much of PRAB’s increased equipment demand. Steady increases in appliance and general industrial manufacturing have also been noteworthy. Mike Hill, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for PRAB stated, “Our customers have come to rely on us more than ever for our material handling expertise, systems design, and product application knowledge”. They know they need to improve their scrap removal efficiencies and increase the value of the scrap for resale; however, they are strapped with tight space constraints, OEM equipment layout limitations, and shortened capital project timelines. This is why demand for our systems engineering and our equipment has grown so dramatically.”

In mid-2012 while planning for the next fiscal year, PRAB recognized the industrial market upswings and proactively added resources to meet the growing needs of customers. The company added engineers, CAD designers, skilled trades, and field technicians. Hill summarized, “In addition to serving our customers more effectively, we provided many jobs for families in southwest Michigan. PRAB is a growing global company with solid roots in US-based manufacturing."

PRAB’s growth is attributed to the unique way they partner with customers, helping to overcome metal processing challenges by providing equipment engineered to the specific application requirements of each customer.
