PRAB WILL FEATURE A FULL SPECTRUM OF CONVEYING, FLUID FILTRATION AND WASTEWATER TREATMENT TECHNOLOGY AT THE SOUTH-TEC SHOW ON OCTOBER 27-29, 2015 IN CHARLOTTE, N.C.

Metal chips with oil beakerKalamazoo, Mich. – PRAB, Inc., a global manufacturer of metal scrap management systems will showcase a full spectrum of conveying, fluid filtration and wastewater treatment technology at SOUTH-TEC, October 27-29, 2015 at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, N.C. Thortsen Magnetics Company, a technical expert in the southern region of the U.S. and a PRAB authorized representative, will feature PRAB equipment in booth number 839.

The Thortsen Magnetics booth will showcase both Horizontal Motion and Magnetic Conveyors for the transfer of material without carryover. PRAB engineers two types of Horizontal Motion conveyors, the Oscillator Conveyor which can move material up to 200 feet with a single drive and tight trough and the Quick Return Conveyor which gently propels material forward without use of vibration or springs. PRAB’s Magnetic Conveyor utilizes permanent ceramic magnets located underneath a stainless steel slider bed to quietly transfer wet or dry ferrous material.

PRAB will also showcase fluid filtration and wastewater treatment equipment options to assist industrial manufacturers to meet stringent municipal and EPA regulations and extend coolant life and recycle wastewater. The Paperbed Filter with Magnetic Separator is ideal for processing small and large ferrous and non-ferrous particles supporting flow rates up to 130 gallons per minute. PRAB also offers Ultrafiltration Systems that can reduce oily water volumes by as much as 90 percent by separating emulsified oils and suspended solids from wastewater and coolant.
